Originally from Kingston, Jamaica, Clayton now lives in the UK. Having built a considerable reputation as a reggae writer and producer in Jamaica, Clay combined his classical piano training with the influence of producers such as The Neptunes, Teddy Riley and Timbaland to develop his eclectic yet highly commercial writing and production style. This sound can be heard on “Hold My Hand” from Sean Paul's Grammy nominated album, Imperial Blaze, “Pray For Me” on Chipmunk’s Transition album, Starboy Nathan’s “Hangover” and many more.
After a period signed as a writer/producer to Jay-Z's Roc Nation stable, Clay has returned to his roots with a rapidly blossoming career as a reggae artist.
